The World Assembly of Youth (WAY) defines volunteers as young people who are from the ages of 18 to 35 years old. At WAY, we recognise the effort put in by our volunteers registered under the umbrella of WAY’s Volunteer Programme and appreciate their contribution in the successes of our programmes and activities.

Since its establishment in year 2006, the World Assembly of Youth’s Volunteer Programme was initiated as a platform that links the youth from all around the world and seeks to develop a dedicated group of young people who are willing to donate some of their time and energy to support WAY in achieving its goals and aims. This programme works towards the elevation of youth and their development into future leaders. In WAY Volunteer Programme, they also offer to volunteers the opportunity to meet people, make contacts, form relationships and thus, gain access to several benefits for their self-development.

WAY volunteers are required to be able to speak at least one of the three (3) WAY official languages which are English, French and Spanish. Currently, they have more than 900 volunteers from all around the world. For registering in WAY Volunteer Programme, kindly go to their  Volunteer Page at http://www.way.org.my/volunteer.

Moreover, they are also aim at bringing together young people of different age, race, background, and ethic group to interact and share ideas while fulfilling their duties as volunteers. They strive to develop the youth by exposing them to an environment where they could realise their true potential and explore their untapped capabilities.

They, therefore, encourage young people to not only celebrate volunteerism in all its facets, but also pay special tribute to volunteers whose roles are prominent toward the implementation and attainment of the global goals.

Happy International Volunteers Day for Economic and Social Development!
